Our storage tanks provide a reliable solution for safe fuel management, available for rent or purchase. With robust designs that meet regulatory standards, these tanks are perfect for on-site storage available in a wide variety of configurations to best suit your needs.
We offer flexible storage solutions that ensure safety, longevity, and efficient handling of fuel, minimizing risks while maximizing storage capacity.
Our storage tanks come in a range of sizes, from 1,000 liters to 100,000 liters, with the option to customize the design to meet specific needs. Whether you require a compact solution for smaller sites or large-capacity tanks for extensive operations, our tailored designs ensure that you get the ideal storage setup for your fuel management requirements.
Standard above-ground steel storage tanks for diesel, gasoline, and lubricant storage in shop, yard, or jobsite applications. Cost-effective for installations with proper secondary containment.
Tank-within-a-tank construction provides built-in secondary containment — the second wall catches any leak from the primary. Required by code in many jurisdictions and preferred for sites without external containment.
UL-2085 rated thermally insulated double-walled tanks. Pass two-hour fire exposure tests, projectile impact, and ballistic testing — the right choice for high-risk environments like fuelling islands, marinas, and sites near occupied buildings.
Stainless steel or DEF-compatible polymer tanks designed for diesel exhaust fluid storage. Avoids contamination from copper, brass, or zinc materials that would damage SCR systems on diesel fleets.
Portable DEF tanks for jobsite or transient operations. Smaller-capacity stainless tanks with built-in pumps for direct dispensing into fleet vehicles.
Aviation-certified tanks for Avgas and Jet A storage at FBOs, private airfields, and ag aviation operations. Compliant with aviation handling and dispensing standards.
Above-ground tanks for used motor oil collection at shops, fleet yards, and industrial facilities. Sized for monthly or quarterly recycler pickup cycles.
Self-contained portable fuel tanks mounted on skids — ideal for remote jobsites, ag operations, or anywhere the fuel needs to move with the work. Capacities from 200 to several thousand litres.
Power Fuelz supplies and rents above-ground fuel storage tanks across Alberta for diesel, gasoline, lubricant, DEF, aviation fuel, and waste oil applications. Whether you're building out a shop, standing up a jobsite, or replacing aging on-farm storage, we'll size and spec the right tank for the operation — and install, maintain, and refill it as part of one program.
Our standard inventory ranges from 1,000-litre slip tanks for portable jobsite use up to 100,000-litre stationary tanks for facility-scale storage. For non-standard requirements — taller sites, tight footprints, multi-compartment configurations — we work with manufacturers to spec custom tanks built to your site constraints.
Tank selection comes down to a few key questions: What fuel are you storing? Where is the tank going? What does the local fire and environmental code require? Here's how the major categories sort out:
A right-sized tank balances three things: avoiding run-outs, avoiding excess capital tied up in unused fuel, and minimizing delivery frequency (each delivery has a fixed cost component). Our rule of thumb: target 2-3 fills per month for steady-state operations, with enough headroom to absorb seasonal spikes without panic deliveries.
About half our tank customers buy outright and half rent. The split usually maps to how long the tank will be in use:
Tank installations in Alberta need to comply with provincial regulations on fuel handling, environmental protection (CCME guidelines), and where applicable the National Fire Code. Tank standards typically referenced include ULC-S601 for shop-built steel, ULC-S630 for shop-built tank assemblies, and UL-2085 for fire-rated tanks.
We handle the full install — tank delivery, anchoring or pad work, piping to dispensers, vent stacks, overfill protection, and electrical for any pump or monitoring equipment. For sites that require permit drawings or environmental sign-off, we coordinate with your engineer or compliance team.
A tank is only as useful as the pump on top of it and the fuel program behind it. We supply RAASM transfer pumps, hose reels, dispensers, and fluid handling equipment to match — and we deliver bulk diesel, gasoline, and DEF on a schedule we tune to your tank's usage profile.
For larger tanks or fleet operations, we install remote tank-level monitoring so the next delivery is triggered by actual fuel level, not a calendar date. Card-lock access and per-vehicle usage reporting are available on the same systems for transportation and multi-vehicle accounts.
